As a third generation Victorian, living and investing in the Fernwood and Oak Bay neighbourhoods, Sheila’s love of real estate has matured with ease and grace. Sheila practised critical care nursing at VIHA for the past 30 years. She enjoys the challenging work environment and the relationships she cultivated in the health care environment. Assisting people through transitions has always been a joy in Sheila’s career. Being involved in real estate investing for the past 30 years has proven to be very successful and rewarding. Honing skills such as negotiations, listening and acting on people’s specific needs and desires, educating people by providing information to help them make their own decisions, and standing by to provide assistance or guidance as needed are a few of the qualities Sheila has developed through her real estate experience. Sheila is married to immigration lawyer, David, for the past 29 years, and they have two sons, Dev and Aaron, born and raised in Victoria. Sheila has played many roles in the real estate world – from investor to landlady, from general contractor to interior design, from advisor to teacher and almost everything in between. With regular attendance at all Real Estate Victoria seminars and updates, Sheila stays current with the changing real estate environment in Victoria. Real estate in its many characterizations has always been front and centre in Sheila’s adult life. She purchased her first investment property in Fernwood in the late 1970’s and was bitten with the “bug”. She has enjoyed the many facets of investing, ownership and renovating since.
